South Beach Guide, Miami Beach Parks

The Miami Beach Parks & Recreation Department earned, in October of 2003 and 2008, its accreditation and 5 year re-accreditation from the Commission for Accreditation of Parks and Recreation Agencies (CAPRA). There are less than 100 Parks and Recreation Departments in the U.S to earn this certification which acknowledges compliance with more than 150 best practice standards.

There are several Miami Beach parks opened to the public that offer many opportunities to both residents and vacationers. Miami Beach parks are great for those with an active lifestyle staying in South Beach holiday rentals and want to indulge in sports and recreation. The City’s Miami Beach Parks & Recreation department has activities including tennis, basketball, aquatics, baseball and racquet ball to name a few.

Miami Beach parks aren’t just about sports. The City has ‘Bark Parks’ for you and your dog, parks to BBQ in with family members and oceanfront parks for lounging in the shade or sunbathing. No matter what your lifestyle Miami Beach parks have something to offer everyone.

Below is a South Beach guide to the parks located on the beach. Follow the links to for more detailed information and directions.
