Miami News: The Stronger Clevelander Hotel in Miami Beach

The Clevelander is the party hotel of Miami Beach. They know exactly who they are and they are damn proud of it. The Clevelander’s most recent $40 million renovation made the rooms party-proof so that the aftermath of its typical guests wouldn’t cost them an extra penny anymore. The more durable Clevelander reopened to guests after the Clevelander Hotel renovation at the end of April.

For one, the beds are now bolted down and jump-proof. Another change of the Clevelander Hotel renovation: no more bedside lamps. Instead, lamps were replaced with ceiling lights. A silicon seal was added beneath beds to protect from soaking liquids. Balcony rails were heightened to chest-level to reduce any temptation. The bathrooms were upgraded with oversized shower heads and sliding doors. New terrazzo sinks built to support the weight of a heavy adult replace the previous average sinks. The Clevelander Hotel renovation added five new “Rock Star” suites in a new wing that overlooks Ocean Drive. These special rooms start at $400 per night. Guests get complimentary rum runners upon check-in and have the option of purchasing a new 120-ounce mixed drink for $90. The hotel’s positioning in marketing materials remains the same: they are still Miami Beach’s top party hotel.

If you want to party at the Clevelander but not spend the money necessary to spend the night there, find some nearby Miami Beach vacation rentals nearby and stroll on over.
