Legendary choreographer Twyla Tharp brings to Miami Florida her latest creation, Nightspot, with the collaboration of Miami City Ballet. Nightspot made its debut on March 28th, at the Carnival Center of the Performing Arts in Downtown Miami. The musical has a new set of song by brilliant musician Elvis Costello and the costumes were made by famous fashion designer Isaac Mizrahi. Mizhari could not resist to the idea of working with Tharp after viewing a taped rehearsal.
Nightspot brings together for the first time two great talents and pioneers: Tharp, 66, who has been really successful in the modern dance field
and has conquer Hollywood and Broadway; and Elvis Costello, 53, who is a pretty well-known songwriter icon, ranging into rock, blues, jazz, classical, and more. Both Tharp and Costello will surely be a potent partnership, and they have come together just in South Florida. The fact that this partnership was made in Miami, not only shows Miami City Ballet’s growth, but it also reflects Miami’s growth into a place with talent, facilities and means to feature great cultural and artistic events. Â

One of the most interesting
Miami events of the season! With five of the top 10 players in the world chasing him as the final round of the
World Golf Championships-CA Championship finally came to a conclusion, the talented Aussie Geoff Ogilvy was the big winner this year. Ogilvy claimed both the Gene Sarazen Trophy and a check for $1.35 million. The victory made him just the third player to win more than one
World Golf Championships title, although he still has a way to go to catch Tiger Woods’ total of 15. In the previous four years of the Doral’s tournament, it was Tiger Woods the one taking the trophy home. Ogilvy shot 17 under to finish one stroke ahead of two-time U.S. Open champion Retief Goosen, three-time major champion Vijay Singh and 2003 U.S. Open winner, Jim Furyk.

Super Car Life is a Massachusetts-based company that allows, for fees starting at $4990, regular people to drive some of the fastest cars around. The experience now in Florida at the Homestead- Miami Speedway consists of an evening hanging out with race drivers, followed by a full day whipping around a racetrack in about $1.5 million worth of horse power. You will be able to drive a $173,000 Ferrari F430, the $170,000 Lamborghini Gallardo, the $166,000 Aston Martin DB9, the $135,000 Mercedes CLK63, and the $190,000 Porsche Turbo 997.

For four months in the winter, Super Car Life brings this emotion to South Florida, where costumers have the change to seat in the driver’s seat of some of the most exotic and fastest cars on earth. It is important to mention, that the program includes professional instructors in charge of giving the main rules and guidelines that will avoid any accident. If you are a fan of speed but you do not have $5000, there are some options for you in Miami. In Miami and South Beach, there are several luxury car rentals and exotic car rentals that allow people to drive their dream car. Renting a luxury car from a rental agency is, of course, cheaper than going to the race track. Furthermore, in some cases the accessibility of the prices will surprise you. The only think you must take in consideration is that you must be careful since speeding fines are enforced when driving around the city, even more when the live of someone might be at risk.
