Kids and teens can learn about contemporary art while learning to express themselves as part of an educational enrichment program presented by The Museum of Contemporary Art.
The program begins this weekend with Tahitian Print Making Inspired by Paul Gaugin. Taught by a professional art teacher, each class features a hands-on project — parents can participate as well.

A discussion by Miami-Dade County commissioners that could have led to a November referendum to abolish all municipal fire departments was withdrawn Tuesday. In its place: a new plan that would allow the cities of Miami, Miami Beach, Hialeah, Key Biscayne and Coral Gables to retain their departments, but stop other cities from ever leaving the county.
