Cirque du Soleil has come to Miami with no elephants but lots of surrealism

Mauro Mozzani, the Italian starring as a possibly dead clown in Corteo, the Cirque du Soleil production opening Thursday at Bayfront Park, finished rehearsal one recent morning and retired to the dressing room he shares with Russian acrobats and at least one seven-foot clown colleague.

A-Listers to Descend on Miami For Art Basel

Mariah20carey_jayz Art Basel Miami Beach isn’t that far away, and if you think about it, the only people who will be able to afford to come here and buy art are overpaid celebrities, so it’s only fitting that celeb photogs Markus Klinko and Indriani will unveil their all-star exhibition down here during that time. According to the NY Post’s Page Six, the artists are shooting Will and Jada Pinkett Smith, Beyonce, Mariah Carey, and even newly svelte celeb chronicler Perez Hilton.

Kidding Around - Miami Museum of Contemporary Art

Kids and teens can learn about contemporary art while learning to express themselves as part of an educational enrichment program presented by The Museum of Contemporary Art.

The program begins this weekend with Tahitian Print Making Inspired by Paul Gaugin. Taught by a professional art teacher, each class features a hands-on project — parents can participate as well.
