On Saturday, December 13th the Seminole Hardrock Winterfest Boat Parade in Fort Lauderdale will fill the night with brightly decorated yachts. Thousands of illuminated boats light up the sky. The Fort Lauderdale event starts at 6:30 and starts in Downtown Fort Lauderdale on the New River and ends at Lake Santa Barbara in Pompano Beach. The Winterfest Boat Parade was named one of the “Top 20 Parades in the World,” by USA Today. Other Winterfest activities include decorating the Intracoastal Waterway in the Intracoastal Decorating Extravaganza. This year, the Fort Lauderdale event headquarters will be the Riverside Hotel. The headquarters are determined by considering a place where parade judges, film crews and VIPs may be comfortably accommodated.
