The Miami Carnival is taking place at the Bicentennial Park in Downtown for its 21st anniversary. Since 1984, the Miami Carnival has brought to Miami events a spectacular and eventful weekend which now spread to Broward County.

This is a free event for the family to enjoy with many parades, concerts, band contest, fireworks, food, and fun activities.  

The annual Oktoberfest Miami will be taking place once again this year. The famous and traditional German celebration will be hosted by the German American Club of Greater Miami. This is an open festival which takes places two weekends of October: October 19-21 and 26-28.

Fridays (10/19 and 26): 6pm to 12 am (midnight)

Saturdays(10/20 and 27):12pm (noon) to 12am midnight)

Sundays (10/21 and 28):12pm (noon) to 10pm

The festival will take place inside the clubhouse and outside under a huge tent where there will be traditional and authentic German food, beer, and wine. Performances by folk music groups will take place every hour and special appearances by other German bands will fill the environment with German culture.

Youth of ages 12 to 20 pays $1.00 and adults pay $10. Children 12 and under go in free of charge.

This is a great cultural Miami event for you and your family to enjoy.

The International Caribbean Music Festival is one of the main Miami events coming to town this October. It originally began in 1997 with the Caribbean Reggae Fest featuring mainly music from Jamaica. Now, the festival has performances of music from all over. This year, the best Caribbean artists will be taking the stage such as Calle 13 and Wisin and Yandel among many others.

The best Spanish rock band is back for a second time this year. After a successful tour of their album, Amar es combatir, the Mexican celebrities will be performing once again in the American Airlines Arena on October 12th. This is the second time this year Mana will be in Miami and it is still a very awaited Miami event.

The Hippiefest is a concert for peace & love starring.

It includes performances of The Turtles featuring Flo & Eddie, Felix Cavaliere's Rascals, The Zombies featuring Colin Blunstone & Rod Argent, Mountain featuring Leslie West & Corky Laing, Mitch Ryder, Badfinger featuring Joey Molland & Country Joe McDonald.

The Florida Sportsman Fishing & Boat Show will be taking place at the Fair Expo Center on October 13th and 14th. For its 14th annual year, the Florida Sportsman Magazine will host this Miami event. They promise this year will be bigger and better than before with its popular indoor tacle sale.

The Daytona Bike week is an international acclaimed event. Visitors from all over the US and the world are flocking to the mythic city of Daytona Beach to be part of this event.

The bike event lasts for 10 days in which there are hundreds of events for riders to enjoy. The crowd is very mixed attracting hard core riders as well as weekend riders. The shows being held take place in the streets. Daytona week is a time for bikers to exhibiting their jewels to their fellow bikers.

Maroon 5 is going to perform live in the Blank Atlantic Center in Miami. The concert will take place on October 20th at 8 PM.

Tickets will be available at ticketmaster.com but if you are a true fan you can buy the tickets before regular people starting at July 19th; however, you need to have a Maroon 5's fan club membership to get these tickets.
